Hi. My name is Don Fadel, and I’m a Project 52 photographer. I’ll be posting from time to time on my experiences with this Project, as well as other tidbits that may be of interest.
In the better late than never category, creativeLive is running rebroadcasts of their classes through the end of the year. They are doing roughly 2 hour segments, with instructors intermixed. For the attention challenged like me, this is actually a good format.
While watching it yesterday, Doug Landreth presented a technique that I applied to cleaning up (white) studio floors. You can check this out on my blog. The technique avoids having to use the patch tool or similar, and involves using an Overlay layer and use of the Dust and Scratches filter.
Finally, this is probably old news to many, but, speaking of cleaning up white, Zack Arias probabloy has the best tutorial on shooting (and cleaning up and using gradients to alter the color of) on white.
Thanks to Don G for giving me the opportunity of posting here. I will be doing this on roughly a weekly basis.
Until the next time, Happy New Year!
