This assignment is a bit of a tricky one.
You are going to shoot to layout. Provided layout.
You will need Photoshop or Elements or Gimp to do this assignment as it has layers.
The image is one for the fictional “Public” magazine. It is a peer review magazine, so the articles contained within it are mostly articles written by academics and social planners.
What does that mean to your image?
It means the subject matter can vary, but keep in mind that it is geared toward academics and those interested in social policies… government both local and regional.
The image goes across the two pages, and you will notice a very large headline for the magazine. Yep, welcome to shooting to layout.
I kept the file size small so it will be easy to manipulate.
Insert your image into the layer designated for it and flatten the image. Use “Save for Web” to make it a JPEG in the 50 / 60 range.
